CHESTERS Collection® didn’t start as a massive showroom; it began in August 2003 as a small, focused shop with a single specialty: sofas imported from Germany. Our founder, James Edison, came from a background in classical furniture but saw a change coming. He realized that as Malaysian homes and offices evolved, the demand for modern furniture would grow in Malaysia. He decided it was time to move away from the traditional and toward a style that was contemporary, functional, and built for the future.
From German Sofas to Total Comfort
Since those early days, we have grown into a premier furniture retailer in Malaysia. In 2006, we took a major step by partnering with Wagner-Living GmbH, Germany’s top producer of office seating. This allowed us to introduce ergonomic and orthopedic chairs that actually help reduce back pain—merging health with high design. Today, our collection has expanded far beyond those first sofas. We now host everything from lighting and chandeliers to outdoor sets and home furniture , ensuring every corner of your life is touched by quality.
